Want to really understand the Netherlands? Forget textbooks — grab a potato masher.

During this fantastic, cozy, hands-on workshop, I take you back to the days of the Eighty Years' War, when the Dutch fought for independence… and accidentally discovered one of their most beloved dishes.

Legend has it that during the Siege of Leiden, the Spanish fled in a hurry and left behind a pot of hutsepot — a humble mix of root vegetables. The hungry locals? They dug in… and a tradition was born.

Now it’s your turn!

What you’ll going to do
• Cook your own Dutch stamppot (yes, with meatballs!)
• Hear the stories behind the food (history has never tasted this good)
• Learn why “gezellig” is more a feeling than a word
• Share laughs, food, and maybe a new favorite comfort dish

No experience needed — just bring your curiosity, your appetite, and a willingness to mash things enthusiastically.

€ 35,00 Per student

€ 27,50 per coach

Incl. 1 wine/beer/ juice with dinner. In addition, during workshop water/ juice a table and ice cream for desert.

Group size
• Minimum: 4 participants
• Maximum: 20 participants

Cancellation policy
• Free cancellation up to 10 days before the workshop
• 50% refund up to 48 hours before
• No refund within 48 hours of the workshop

Timing
• Workshops last approximately 3 hours
• Please arrive 10 minutes early so we can start on time

Please provide the required details, including your name, contact information, number of attendees, and any known special requirements (e.g. dietary needs). Final details must be submitted at least one week prior to the workshop.

Once availability has been reviewed by us, we will contact you and provide a payment link to confirm your reservation.

4. Payment
We ask for a full payment in advance to secure. We will provide you with pay link, valid for 24 hours.

5. Booking Confirmation
Upon receipt of your payment within 24 hours, we will contact you and provide you with a booking confirmation.
